Track & Field Team

Boy’s Track

Track and field has much to offer the high school athlete. It is the purest form of competition available to an athlete serious about competing against some of the best competition in the state.

Track and field caters to all types of athletes. An athlete can choose from distance running, sprints, relays, jumping, throwing, and vaulting events. One main advantage and challenge of track and field is its one-on-one competition. An athlete does compete against others, however, ultimately the athlete is competing against himself, which is the most challenging competition of all.

Track and field is also an excellent medium through which athletes can work to improve themselves is preparation for other athletic teams. Track and field will improve an athlete’s overall speed, strength, stamina, and coordination – all the qualities necessary for success in most other high school sports.

If an athlete is serious about competition and success in other sports, than track and field is a must.
