Workers Compensation

All staff members must report all injuries happening at work within 24 hours. This includes injuries that do not require medical attention.

The district's Workers Compensation provider is Risk Administration Services (RAS).

If you are injured at work:

  • Report the injury to your immediate supervisor.

  • Call the Medcore Hotline at 1-855-736-9482 to report your injury (within 24 hours).

    • Record the reference number for your injury & give this to your immediate supervisor.

  • Complete the Staff Injury Report Form.

  • Send the report form to your immediate supervisor and Human Resources.

If you seek medical treatment,

  • Generally, you can choose to see any provider authorized by Workers Compensation, including your General Healthcare Provider.

  • Advise your provider that you have a work-related injury, and tell them you work for Merrill Area Public Schools. Do not pay for your care yourself or use other health insurance.
