DPI Licensing

Licensing & Certification Requirements

All teachers must obtain and maintain licensure through the Department of Public Instruction as a condition of employment. Teachers are responsible for ensuring their license remains current and for covering all associated fees. Educators holding a lifetime license must renew their DPI background check every five years to maintain active status.

Additionally, all Special Education Teacher Aides must obtain Department of Public Instruction certification. The District will cover the cost of this certification.
